Like thousands of young people who come to Hollywood in search of stardom, Adea Shabani arrived in Southern California in 2016 with the hope of venturing into acting and modeling in the city of stars.

However, the dreams of 25-year-old Shabani, originally from Macedonia - a country on the Balkan peninsula in southeastern Europe - took an unexpected turn after his disappearance was reported on 23 January.

Shabani’s friends, who describe the aspiring actress as a positive and joyful person, alerted the police after the young woman did not return home and stopped responding to messages sent to her cell phone, a behavior oblivious to it.

“There has to be something behind this, we’re trying to find it,” Emma Joe, a friend since Shabani’s childhood , told local media .

In the days after the mysterious disappearance, the girl’s friends have distributed leaflets in the streets hoping to find a witness who can give information about his whereabouts, but these efforts have not yet paid off.

According to a report by local broadcaster ABC7, Shabani’s mother traveled from Macedonia to Los Angeles and hired a private detective to help with the search.

“See him (the case) as if he were a member of his own family, some of his friends, because believe me if they knew this girl, if they really knew her, she would be a great friend as she is with everyone”, said another of his friends, Lisjen Jovanovski.

According to her profile on the Internet Movie Database page , the young woman would have participated in a short film produced in 2017 and entitled ‘All or Nothing’.

Shabani is described as a white woman with blue eyes and blond hair, who is 5 ‘5 “tall and weighs 130. She has not been seen and has not been in communication since last February 23 and her family” fears for her well-being ” “, according to the authorities.

Individuals with information about the case may contact the detectives through the telephone lines: (213) 996-1800 and 1 (877) 527-3247.
