Instagram lets friends reshare stories they are tagged in, enabling the mentioned people in the content to repost the same on their own profiles.
A photo, video-sharing social networking service owned by Facebook, Instagram Inc. has just announced a new update to its one of features sharing stories of users, which will now able let users immediately repost the story, for which their friends have tagged them.
The new feature is as ‘@mention Sharing’ that can be only applied to the public accounts. It has been made available to the Android and iOS devices with the Instagram version 48. The feature allows users to rotate it, making as sticker and markings up whenever adding to their stories.
To use the feature users have to set their accounts as public, so that they will be able to forward that content to all of their followers on the list. At the same time, the real poster will also be labeled.
On Thursday, Instagram released a blog post wording that, “When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your ‘Direct message’ thread with that person. Now you’ll see an option to add that content to your own story. Users will have choices and options to scale, rotate, position and add creative tools like text and stickers to the reposted ‘Story’.”
In addition, it is also reported that Instagram is struggling to introduce a new platform for such lengthy form of videos by June 20, the features which resembles to Snapchat Discover and YouTube.
